1) What does a treatment involve?
Relevant health information will be obtained prior to treatment. During treatment the patient will be ideally semi-reclined upon a treatment couch or they may lie flat on a couch or even a bed for extra comfort if/when required. Shi-atsu (Finger pressure) is applied throughout both of the feet in a detailed, structured and precise manner.
2) How long does a session last?
Treatment sessions can be from a 1 hour “Reset”, 1.5 hour “Restore”, 2 hour “Regeneration” and up to a 3 hour “Purification”
3) How many treatments will I need?
It is recommended to start with a course of between 6-10 sessions. Results can vary depending upon the individual, so it is ideal too invest in a short course. But, even a single session can be positively transformative!
4) What does a treatment feel like? Does it hurt?
A treatment will feel enjoyable and relaxing. Most people fall asleep. It is not a painful experience, but sometimes the recipient may feel different sensations during the treatment as any imbalances or blockages are cleared.
5) My feet are very ticklish. Will I be able to tolerate reflexology?
The feet are held in a supportive and structured manner and the movements are very clear and precise. Therefore, most people have no issue in this respect. Unless there is an unusual underlying condition of sensitivity.
6) How will I feel after the treatment?
Generally people feel good following a treatment. Most people report feeling calm and energised, but depending on the individuals condition or state of mind, they might feel tired initially as the body needs to rest or adjust as part of a deeper healing process.
7) Are there any possible side effects to the treatment?
There are no negative side effects. It is usually suggested to drink plenty of water following a treatment to help flush out general toxins from the body, thus preventing a possible headache.
8) Where do the treatments take place?
Treatments can be at Andrea’s contact locations or at your own home/premises, whichever is more conducive/suitable.

11) How does reflexology work?
In brief, through the application of shi-atsu (finger pressure) applied to the feet and what are referred to as the reflex points or nerve endings throughout the feet, this activates our bodies nuclear cells, organs and body systems, fully develops the bodies self healing powers and ultimately maintains optimum health. Reflexology should not be confused with foot massage, as it is a precise pressure technique applied in a detailed and structured way.
16) Are reflexologists doctors?
No, our job is not to diagnose medical conditions like a doctor. We do treat a wide variety of conditions, but unlike a doctors practice reflexology treats the person holistically, meaning pertaining to the whole i.e body, mind and spirit. We often are able to discover ailments that our patient is unaware of and will recommend they visit their doctor for medical tests for e.g or to see an optician for an eye exam or even to visit their dentist if the teeth or gums show up during our treatment and people find this sort of information extremely helpful.
